Treasury Report – $2,062.26 (Ruth asked if the finance from the club was tax exempt. Syreda informed members they were not.
Minutes: Several revisions were made and approved by the members and entered into record for June’s minutes. OLD BUSINESS:
.1 David brought up that it was discussed last meeting that since Steve will not be printing pictures for entries this is money that he is losing. Also, it was discussed that we should be paying him for meeting at the office. A motion was made and accepted that PCC will pay him $50 per month ni which and a check can be issued for that money as per month, every 6 months or annually; whatever way Syreda wants to do it. This is only fair; the club has been meeting here since 1991.
NEW BUSINESS:
Ruth that most of us know that Connie Manchester expired about. 1 1⁄2 years ago. Her husband is going through their home and sent some items fi any member of the club is interested in may have them free of charge. He will be going through equipment that Ruth will bring in for any member that would be interested in buying
them.
Tony brought up that PCH is having a contest for local photographers; West Virginia and Virginia. You can go to PCH’s FB page for instructions. Images are to be submitted to sarah.miller9@wvumedicine.org. They also want a brief description of 2000 words or less, background, region of the person submitting the images. Please include the title of the image and the year it was created. It is a short deadline – July 15 – 31 to get images in. David stated by next month our page should be up and running. Tony posted PCH page to PCC’s page. Regulations for the competition will be on our site also. David stated that his password is 2195.
Steve informed the members that the 3 Rivers Aviary will be holding a viewing of the birds they have rescued on July 19 from 7p.m. to 8 p.m. On August 11 at 4:30 Camp Creek will have the annual excursion to the field where sunflowers are planted.
Teresa stated to upload your images you will need to find some place with fast internet. Steve said the internet at the office was quite quick. Members may bring their computers to the office and do it from here.
David stated that our site can be made private along with minutes from our meetings and the images will be available to the public. More of this to come at our next meeting.
Roger stated that Canon is introducing some new camera. There are lots of video on them and upgrading. It was suggested that we have an outing in the Fall. We will watch the predictions for leaf peak and set
something to shoot.
At this point Steve presented images brought in by members. Tonight’s theme is “night images. There being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
